At Cumberland County Schools, experience is recognized and rewarded. The district offers the largest average teacher supplement in the Sandhills region and the largest supplement for experienced teachers and certified support staff.

Under the current supplement schedule, experienced educators can earn significant additional compensation. For example, teachers with 25 or more years of experience may earn supplements ranging from $12,713 to $14,112, reflecting CCS’ commitment to valuing veteran educators and the expertise they bring to the classroom. In addition to recognizing the importance of experience, this increased compensation can positively impact teachers’ retirement income, as higher earnings will improve retirement calculations and long-term financial stability.

“In Cumberland County Schools, we know that experience strengthens our schools,” said Ruben Reyes, associate superintendent of Human Resources. “Our goal is to recruit and support professionals who are passionate about helping students achieve their full potential. This job fair is an opportunity for talented educators and staff to join a district that values their knowledge, dedication and impact.”

CCS also offers additional incentives for several high-need positions, including:

· $2,000 salary advance option for new teachers

· 6% annual supplement for classified staff
